Marden has a thriving girls cricket scene, starting to see really impressive results in recent seasons. We have a squad of around 30 girls who play in two squads u9/10 and u11/12. Their dedication and willingness to learn and improve is remarkable.
In a disrupted 2020 season, the u9/10 and u11/12 squads had fantastic seasons with notable wins against Mote and Linton Boys teams. Plenty to be proud of – well played all the girls!
All cricket is ‘incrediball’ while the older girls transition to hardball in readiness for the following season. Without doubt, some great girls talent is coming through so we urge all members to celebrate their progress under the watchful eye of coach Tony Brown.
